3rd. The approval of the plans by the Military

Authorities.

4th. Compliance, so far as may be insisted on by the War Office Authorities, when acquainted with the

circumstances, with the conditions as to construction of the tenks already notified by the War Office and

of which e copy is attached.

5th. In furnishing the site plan it is requested that the contouring of the spur above ref-rred to may be shown, and it is obvious that the tenks should be

out of the line of fire of the Battery which is ap- proximately indicated on the plan in pencil.

6th. It seems unnecessary to impose any limit as to the height of the subsidiery buildings, but it must be understood that there is no liability on the part of the War Department for injury to them by fir-

of ing any guns that may be mounted in the Battery.

that this means approval of general plan of the Tanks by the local Military Authorities and not of the general plan of the whole of the works Fectories end

Godowns.

The plans of the Tanks will be drawn up in accordance with the conditions leid down by the
